Baptisms

We welcome all to be baptised (or ‘christened’) - from very young to very old. This is a ceremony in which you join God’s family and the representatives of that worldwide family who attend St Andrew’s Church Cherry Hinton promise to support you in your journey of faith. For this reason we almost always do baptisms within a Sunday service.

You can choose from a more traditional service at 10am on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month, or our informal ‘Café Church’ services at 10.30am on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month.

We’re happy to discuss what will work best for you!

In exceptional circumstances we hold ‘private’ baptisms on Sundays midday after the main service is finished. However unlike a baptism within a church service, we charge for these and the costs vary depending on what you will need in terms of musicians, sound desk operator, clergy and heating.
