Weddings
Our Church Centre is located alongside our historic church. The main hall
is large (approximately 10x10m) with good natural light and plenty of
chairs and tables (plus a piano if needed!). The hire cost includes a
well-stocked kitchen area for food preparation and a hatch for serving.
The centre also has a projector screen, internet access and two toilets
(one with a handrail). The entire space is fully accessible with level paths
to the Centre and doorways which can accommodate wheelchairs, scooters
and pushchairs. We can accommodate groups of up to 50 seated theatre style
and the spacecan easily be adapted for board-room style meetings, rehearsals
and tutoring spaces. We are a great space for children’s parties offering smaller tables and chairs and a good space for fun games, dancing and play and can offer morning, afternoon and evening sessions. The room can be completely cleared to offer a space for exercise classes including dancing, yoga and other fitness activities.
The centre is available from 9am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and some
Sunday afternoons.
If you are looking for a bigger venue you could consider our medieval Church. A very
special and unique space in Cherry Hinton, this can be booked for special events – a
milestone birthday or anniversary party perhaps – or an atmospheric setting for a
concert or exhibition. We would encourage you to come and have a look and talk to us
about your needs.
The fine print
All bookings are by arrangement and at the discretion of the Vicar and
Church Centre team. The current hire cost of the centre is £18 per
hour/part hour, (including set up & clear down time). Charges are
generally reviewed in January each year.We do special rates for
community groups renting the Centre on a regular basis.
Please ring to discuss.
Please note the following:
1. Any cancellations made less than 7 days before the bookings or any no-shows will incur a fee of £8 per hour to cover incurred costs.
2. The Centre must be left clean and tidy and all rubbish generated must be taken away. A hoover and cleaning materials are provided.
Safeguarding
The Church of England sets very high standard to ensure that all who
with it are appropriately safeguarded. If you are running a regular
group in the Centre you will need to have your own robust safeguarding
policy, or adopt ours, which can be found here. You will be required to
sign paperwork to this effect which will be sent out with your invoice.
Parking
There are no parking facilities on the church site or in St Andrew's
Glebe, which is a private road. You can load and unload here, but not
park. Road parking is permitted in Church End, in the lay-by for those
who need to park close to the Church (the bus stop is now redundant)
or on Fulbourn Old Drift.
Thanks for your interest in St Andrew’s Church Centre!
Please contact Sharon, our Centre Manager if you have further queries.
